Candid Broads was founded in 2020 by Oriane Pick, and has been growing ever since to bring more and more female-centric stories to our audiences.

ORIANE PICK | CEO & Founder

Oriane is a French Actress and Producer. The recipient of numerous international awards for producing and acting, she is becoming one of the most exciting talents in independent film.

Best known for her roles in ‘I Am,’ ‘Poles’ and ‘Call It a Day’, Pick will next be seen starring alongside Frances de la Tour and Calvin Demba in the debut feature film ‘To The Girl I Once Knew’ from award-winning director Ludovica Musumeci.

Having started her own production company Candid Broads Productions in 2020, Pick oversaw the Oscar Qualifying short ‘Smudged Smile’ led by rising star Mia McKenna-Bruce as well as other shorts featuring upcoming and established talent like Rhea Norwood, Amit Shah and Sinead Matthews. With a focus on telling powerful and challenging female led stories, Candid Broads Productions has also been a leader in putting female talent at the forefront behind the camera ensuring at least 50/50 split between female and male identifying crew.

As an actor, Pick established her name with the lead role in the psychological drama ‘Say Your Name’. Lead roles in BAFTA and BIFA qualifying shorts led to the development of her feature debut.

Fluent in multiple languages, Pick continues to play multi-dimensional characters that defy expectations and break taboos. Through Candid Broads Productions, this reach is extended to working with the most exciting breakthrough and recognised talent in the industry.

Recently accepted as a BFI / BAFTA Connect member, Pick was also nominated as LODESTARS 2023 in the Producer category, and awarded the Influential Businesswoman Award, recognising her work in the industry.

Her next step up was to co-produce the BFI backed short film ‘The Date’ written by BFI Flare mentee Bethan Marlow and Olivier nominated director Amy Hodge. Having seen production through from nearly every level and worked with some of the most exciting upcoming filmmakers Ferrato has developed an acute eye for talent and a distinctive taste for challenging and perception altering stories.
